Lycée de Champollion in Grenoble
Do you still remember the person who deciphered the Egyptian hieroglyphs*? Hmm, let's talk a little bit of history. It was Jean-François Champollion who unlocked the ancient Egyptian writings during the 18th century. He speaks a dozen languages and considered as the father of Egyptology. On the other hand, it reminded me then of our national hero, but I don't like to write more about him because Wikipedia already has it.
So in his memory, some schools anywhere in France are named after him.
And if you ask me why I know this, it's because yesterday we were in Grenoble, and while walking around the town we spotted this building and it was MK who told me the whole story.

*hieroglyphs was a formal writing system used by the ancient Egyptians that contained a combination of logographic and alphabetic elements.

Excellent info, Shan! I love how buildings and places are named after important people, so that you never forget who or what they did to leave their mark in history! ;)
